Suitable for a convenient stay
The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the church, which kinda made me feel at ease. The staff were super helpful, and when the hair dryer in our room wasn't working right, they fixed it quickly without any fuss.
It wasn’t cheap, but still acceptable.

Rooms lacked proper noise insulation!!! Street sounds echoed throughout the stay. Cleanliness in the bathroom was questionable with stained tiles!!! Internet signal was often weak and unstable!!! Please upgrade the shower cleaners!!!

The hotel had a historic charm with modern touches, though
it did show some signs of age. The staff were helpful, and I appreciated the central location near many attractions. The breakfast was varied, with a great selection. However, I encountered issues with the hairdryer that needed fixing.

the Normandy, what a disappointment. it was laughable to see such weak breakfast fruit selection, and honestly, the bathroom cleanliness left much to be desired. I expected complimentary treats for these issues but was treated like everyone else. I almost thought about giving a good review, but just couldn’t.

Excellent option for a short stay
The room was spacious and I was surprised by how clean everything was, I mean the cleanliness was commendable. Plus, the breakfast spread was really good, especially that pão de queijo, just lovely.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but the value was still reasonable.

Had a great time here with my friends! Our room was clean and spacious, and we loved the breakfast with its decent variety. The location was perfect for visiting the local sites, including the Mercado Central and Pampulha architecture. The staff were friendly, which made everything smoother. Don't miss the rooftop area to unwind after exploring!
However, we found the street noise quite bothersome, especially at night, which affected our sleep.

The location near downtown offers convenient access to shopping centers, while the cleanliness of the room stood out as a positive aspect. However, the neighborhood has many homeless individuals, which made the surrounding area feel less safe. Additionally, the breakfast options, though acceptable, lacked variety, and the staff's limited English proficiency created some challenges during my stay.

Our stay at Normandy Hotel was fantastic! The room was clean and spacious, with a lovely view of Av Afonso Pena. The air conditioning kept us cool, and the free WiFi was reliable. We enjoyed the breakfast with a good variety of options. The rooftop area was a great spot to relax after busy days.
There was occasional street noise.
